Here are some great pics of the kiddos that we have taken recently. McKenna loves climbing the stairs and then climbing back down again. What a cutie!
Here is Ethan getting ready for church by eating a quick lunch. Somtimes his shirt eats more than he does...

The same could be said of McKenna, although she does seem to put more in her mouth than Ethan does. :)

Last weekend, we traveled a short distance from home with our friends the Millers and visited Cuningham Falls, MD. We discovered that we live very close to several great hiking and outdoor areas in the mountains. Needless to say, we were very surprised. Here is Ethan and I standing in front of the falls. We later climbed them ourselves.

Here is Jana and McKenna conversing with Shirley and Jared Miller. McKenna loved being outdoors and posing for photographs.

I captured a close-up of Jared & McKayla.

Here is Ethan and Taylor taking a rest - which we did several times during the half mile hike! I believe it took us almost 45 minutes to travel the half mile. Oh well, we finally got there and took a snack break.

We later picnicked in the park and simply enjoyed the outdoors. It was a great Memorial Day weekend activity.

Family Trip to Washington, DC

We recently had a fun trip to the nation's capital with Jana's family. It was so awesome to visit so many historical sites and witness so much of our nation's history. We couldn't get enough to say the least. I have tons of pictures, but I'll just post a few.

Ethan's favorite building was the Smithsonian's Natural Science Museum. He REALLY liked the dinosaurs! I have to admit that it was really cool myself.

My favorite attraction was Lincoln. Amazing that somebody carved this so seamlessly of one of our nation's greatest presidents. You really felt a quiet reverence within the walls.
We were able to visit all the war memorials... the WWII, Korean, & Vietnam memorials really proved that this nation has gone through a lot to secure our civil liberties and freedoms.

After a long few days of walking and tiring ourselves out, we settled down at Lonestar Restaurant near our home in Frederick, MD for some steaks and ribs. Yum.
